The Aut-O-Rama Twin Drive-In was built in 1965 by
the Sherman family and is still owned and operated by a third generation
of the Sherman Family. The Aut-O-Rama Drive-In became the Aut-O-Rama
Twin Drive-In for the 1972 summer season.
We became the first Cleveland area drive-in to offer patrons a choice of
movies. The Aut-O-Rama Twin Drive-In was also a pioneer for radio sound
in the Cleveland area, being the first to install AM radio sound in our
theatres. Today you can enjoy the movie soundtrack with Dolby FM stereo
sound, quite an improvement from the old speakers that used to hang on
your window!
We are open from the beginning of April until the end of October. The
Aut-O-Rama is open 7 days a week from approximately Memorial Day through
Labor Day. We are open Friday and Saturday nights at the beginning and
end of the season. We are considered a first run theatre and during the
summer it's not unusual to have 2 first runs as a double feature.
Our snack bar offers all of the usual treats like soda and popcorn, however
many patrons arrive early and have dinner with us. Everyone loves our hot dogs,
hamburgers, pretzels, chicken wings,
and fries, but the hands down favorite has become our large 16” pizza with your
choice of toppings. We serve Coke products including their juice and energy
drink line as well as bottled water and milk. Now serving Icees. After dinner, finish with dessert,
we have a great candy selection and warm funnel cakes, Icees inside the concession stand
or visit the Sidewalk Shop located just in front of the concession stand for a soft
serve ice cream, Razzle (it’s like a Flurry or a Blizzard) or a Root beer or Orange
Crush Float. We also have available coffee, cappuccino and hot chocolate.
